OAudio Power Trio 2145

The history of Rock ‘n ‘ Roll is littered with so-called Power Trios. 3 member bands who left you wondering how that was possible with just three people. We see a certain similarity to our new kit. Inspired by our work with PureAudioProject  we developed the new Power Trio kit. The first version of the PAP Trio that was in our showroom was partially active. We figured our customers needed a completely passive version so we designed a crossover.  We also knew the kind of craftsmen lurking among our customers and also knew they would want to make their own baffles. So we created the DIY kit.

The first question everyone asks themselves is if speakers without a cabinet, can even work. Not only does the concept work, it works really well. Since building this kit for our showroom, the Power Trio has been one of the most popular kits to listen to.

Originally the Power Trio utilized the W8-1808 but since we like the sound of the 1772 better we upgraded to the Tang Band W8-1772 fullrange. After receiving the W8-2145 the calls and emails asking us for a kit with that driver led us to implementing the W8-2145 into the most obvious candidate the Power Trio. The W8-2145 is accompanied by 2 OmnesAudio 15PA woofers and the result is simply brilliant.

• Detailed construction plan for the cabinet and the crossover
