The Tang Band W5-1611SAF is such an exception and, with in a wide baffle (38-40 cm), it manages without a series or parallel notch filter.
This full-range speaker can be said to have an inspiring musicality, with a fantastic spatial reproduction quality and a great deal of sensitivity for voices and instruments. Even with long-term listening, music reproduction with this chassis is both relaxing and fascinating.

In transmission lines  as well as with 20 l bass reflex volume, it demonstrate these qualities.

Of course, the W5-1611 is also suitable as a midrange driver in multi-way combinations. Its very good efficiency also makes it interesting for tube enthusiasts.
